hmmm..
Things Lindsay Should Do While Stuck in a Hotel in Lansing for a Week:
-Update website?
-Finish If on a winter's night a traveler
-ummm...I don't know. Of course, the first thing on the list could take years itself.
In other news, I have tomorrow off, and then I'm in Lansing until Sunday evening.
surlenil and I saw Golden Compass tonight. Yay!...and Boo! We both whimpered and looked at each other with terrified looks on our faces at the end when Lyra was reading the alethiometer and confidently told Roger "I'm bringing him what he needs." No, Lyra! He doesn't want the alethiometer! Keep Roger far away from him! *whines* But, as I said to Amanda, without that whole fiasco there wouldn't be Cittegazze, and without Cittegazze there wouldn't be Will and Lyra. *pouts* Will and Lyra *lip twitches and quivers* Phillip Pullman is an evil evil man and I love the abuse and sit here starving for more. Amanda said she now wanted to reread the books. I told her not to because otherwise she'll just be depressed for a week. The movie people are a little bit more compassionate, it seems, than Phillip Pullman is...they decided to leave the first traumatic character death until the next movie. Of course, now they'll have to do multiple traumatic character deaths in one movie...and one right at the beginning! Boo! Also, I nearly had a heart attack when Billy Costa called his daemon "Ratter." All I could think was "No!!! Billy doesn't have Ratter! Billy can't be the poor daemonless child in the north! It's not faaaaaaaaaaair!!!"
Also, the movie went too quickly. It needs to be HP-length 2:45 or something.
