teehee...

When I went home a couple of weekends ago my mom showed me a CD of really old slides that somebody in her family had given her. I uploaded them to my computer, and she told me she wanted prints of them. Some of them are horribly miscolored, so I've been playing with them to make them look as normal and colorful as possible. I was thrilled when a really red picture suddenly had a real contrast between the green bushes and the red roses). There are some really nice pictures of my mom's parents, and I'll post a few once I'm done working on them. For now I go to work.

may I help you?
RSL: Oh, so obviously you're open for lunch...
Me: Actually, we're only open for lunch on the weekends. We open at 4

RSL: Oh. Okay. So what are you doing there right now?
Me: Office work.
RSL: Oh. Okay. Nevermind then.

*headdesk* I need to repost this to [livejournal.com profile] waitingtables later...

I just ruined a wonderful dinner of granola and milk and a veggie platter with hummus from the Crow's Nest with an entire row of Girl Scout cookies (Caramel Delights/now Samoas). Of course, the granola and veggies was just a light dinner to settle my stomach (I was feeling a little queasy after yoga because I didn't eat much today), and I haven't had Girl Scout cookies probably since I quit Girl Scouts in high school.

I hurt from yoga. You know tomorrow is going to be bad when an hour after the fact you can tell you're going to hurt like hell in the morning.

I went to the doctor this afternoon for the two/three week check-up of meds. Got refills of Celexa through September. The doctor talked to me for roughly all of two minutes. I love those appointments :-P

Dan's writing a paper on Ophelia, and the cat upstairs has been driving me slowly insane for the past three days. I just pinpointed where the meowing was coming from earlier this evening, but it's been going on nonstop for days now. I'm slightly bored, but rather more tired. I'm debating between reading and throwing a DVD in. I'm almost too tired to read, but I don't want the TV to bother the scholar *grins*

Oh well...maybe I'll just curl up on the couch and not really do either.

Oh! Also, the apartment nearly caught on fire today, but luckily I caught the smell of melting plug before I left for work this morning. One of our power strips (the really nice one, too!) is definitely toast :-\
