littlelotte: (LiT - Not hopeless)
I had a rotten evening, and I have to be to work in seven hours, but I'm still too awake to sleep, so I thought I'd do something random.

I was thinking the other day about all the people on my flist that I know irl, and in the spirit of stupid memes, I thought I'd talk a bit about the people I actually "know"...

[livejournal.com profile] _dark_alley_/[livejournal.com profile] alleykitten/[livejournal.com profile] ooshnalley - I originally met Stacey online through the On Broadway chatroom when I was in hs. The summer after I graduated a bunch of us from online (AFoA, more specifically) met up irl and made just as good friends in person as we did online. Alley is an amazingly wonderful person, and I absolutely love her.
[livejournal.com profile] amneria - This is one of my Melissas...the one I actually refer to by her full name. Occasionally she becomes "MISSA!!!!!" I met her through [livejournal.com profile] madbillyblack, actually. We had dinner together once when we lived in the dorms, but didn't really get to know each other until the four of us (the three of us plus [livejournal.com profile] truemidge) went to the Ren Faire last summer. We became FAST friends. I adore her completely and totally. When we're out and about, people who don't really know us probably think we're a couple...lol
[livejournal.com profile] athenapolias/[livejournal.com profile] littlelotte - me, of course ;-)
[livejournal.com profile] chasmine17 - Another of the AFoA group. Originally knew her only online, then met in person.
[livejournal.com profile] clearmind - A very very close friend I met through mutual friends at Western. We lived in attached dorm buildings and have both way too much in common while we manage to be terribly opposite.
[livejournal.com profile] dreamnz - One of my favorite people in the Anthropology dept at Western. We had one or two classes together and often sat by each other and talked about all sorts of random things.
[livejournal.com profile] fantasyutopia - Met through work at CiP. She was part of the original crew.
[livejournal.com profile] lagrimasxplatas/[livejournal.com profile] lilacxdreams - Also met her through work at CiP. Another person from the original crew.
[livejournal.com profile] madbillyblack - I met Will through the theatre dept at Western. I called him back for one scene I directed, Stage Managed a show he was in and then cast him in the first full one-act I directed. We've been friends since, even though I'm terrible at finding time to get in touch with him :-\
[livejournal.com profile] nadjezhda - I graduated from high school with her. I can't seem to remember if she did any theatre that I did or if we just knew mutual people and that was how we originally met. Throughout high school she always seemed like somebody I could get along well with, and getting to know her better through LJ has confirmed that and even deepened my respect for her as a person in general.
[livejournal.com profile] paxtonblue - My first college roommate. We lived together for two years and are still friends six years later :-) We have all kinds of interesting stories between the two of us...lol
[livejournal.com profile] peazgrl1545 - Julie was my trainer at Bennigan's. She's so funny and such an interesting person. Her and my boyfriend are REALLY alike in some aspects, and I think that's one thing that drew me to liking her in the first place.
[livejournal.com profile] pixiediva - I met her through my first travelling training experience. She was one of the original staff at the OKC CiP. She's absolutely hilarious and a really great person.
[livejournal.com profile] raleigh_stclair - I did an acting scene opposite him for [livejournal.com profile] madbillyblack's directing class last yearish. A very talented actor with a lot of promise.
[livejournal.com profile] sassy_gavster - Another of the AFoA crew that I originally knew online.
[livejournal.com profile] seamusmcfly - One of my boyfriend's friends, actually. They went to school together, and if I were better at directly trying to get to know people then I think we could possibly become friends in our own right.
[livejournal.com profile] shadow_dream - Mine Love! I originally met him online, too. The story is long and convoluted and involves him actually introducing me to my first real boyfriend/relationship. We also first met in person at the summer AFoA event.
[livejournal.com profile] squeaker182 - The person I consider my first real friend from Clio. I have so many great memories with Sally, and absolutely love her. We don't talk too often or see each other very much, but she always remains very very close to my heart.
[livejournal.com profile] surlenil - I originally met Amanda through LiveJournal. I don't remember the circumstances AT. ALL., but I'm so glad we met. We decided to meet up for coffee one afternoon a couple of years ago, and after I had my license and my own car on campus she became my favorite companion for the theatre and drinks here in Kalamazoo. She's a fabulous artist and a really great person all around.
[livejournal.com profile] theactorman - I met him through theatre in Clio. We've done really ridiculous amounts of shows together. It's always strange to me to find people I knew back then around the net now.
[livejournal.com profile] thegreenfaery - Lissa's little sister. I didn't really ever know her previous to the AFoA gathering the summer of 2000.
[livejournal.com profile] truemidge - [livejournal.com profile] amneria's aunt by marriage. I didn't know her either online or off prior to the Ren Faire last summer. She's ridiculous amounts of fun.
[livejournal.com profile] velvatier - Another I met online through the On Broadway room and first met in person through FAnAFAS (that summer 2000 AFoA thing). We've had some interesting ups and downs and managed to end up still friends in the end...lol She is definitely one of the most unique people I know.
[livejournal.com profile] yellowest_finch - Lissa! I love Lissa. Lissa was probably my first really close online friend. We were always way too much alike and we bonded really quickly. Years later, even with all the changes and differences in our lives, she remains somebody I consider a dear friend and somebody I still have way too much in common with :-) Even though I hadn't seen her in six years, seeing her this weekend felt like it had only been weeks since I last saw her. She's one of a small handful I would consider a soulmate of mine and can talk to about ANYTHING. Apparently I have really good luck when I gain friends named Melissa...lol

Now it's way too late and I need to sleep. This was a good idea. The rotten mood I was in when I started this entry has since been replaced by very warm fuzzies :-D

*phew*

Since I've started putting hours in in the office and I quit my other job my bank account has certainly taken a hit. I've almost been avoiding checking my bank account because I really didn't want to know how bad it was, but given that it's rent time of the month I thought I really should know what it looks like. Adding it to what I saw my paycheck will be and the knowledge of what is currently in my purse made me feel a lot better. It's definitely lower than normal, but not terribly so.

*breathes a large sigh of relief*

Depending on what's happening Wednesday and Thursday, I plan on putting in a lot of hours in the office reorganizing it more to my liking/convienience. It's really strange to have people (like my MP) refer to it as "your office" when they're talking to me. If I do it on Wednesday it will have to be off the clock, as I'm really close to overtime. I have enough hours left to work my two admin shifts left this week, but not to do too much extra. It really gets to the point where I end up clocking out simply because I need to and want to get things done without the concern of ending up overtime. I just want to do things while I have the time/chance to, and my timecard doesn't always agree with my spare time...lol I also want to get that done before I talk with my MP about still doing occasional openings. I'm also kinda crossing my fingers that talking about doing occasional openings will also develop into a raise for my admin shifts.

I really hate when I don't get hungry for dinner until ten or so at night. There's so little to really choose from open, and I generally hate going out at night by myself :-P
