So many thank yous! I had a wonderful day (in vast contrast to nearly every other birthday I've celebrated) and will post an update with pictures after I resize them.

Birthday and pictures!

My parents, brother and cousin came into town Friday evening...

I woke up pretty early for me yesterday morning and got ready to go out to breakfast with surlenil (who had called the evening before and invited me out to Food Dance Cafe--all organic foods--for a birthday breakfast...I forgot to take pictures there). I had very yummy whole-grain pancakes, over easy eggs and extra yummy fresh fruit. After that we browsed the sidewalk sales downtown along the Kalamazoo Mall and I bought a couple of skirts and a shirt for work. We made our way back to my apartment and I invited her along to my uncle's in St. Joseph and the Venetian Festival for the afternoon:

The Venetian Festival also holds a sandcastle building contest, which always results in some interesting things...I'm sad I didn't get the entire alligator, though. My camera cut off the ends :-(

Finally, we came back to my place, Dan gave me a $50 gift certificate to Terrapin, and we went out to dinner. It was a very very nice day :-)
