This time from [livejournal.com profile] thegreenfaery...LJ specific questions...

1. Your LiveJournal username and what it means:
Little Lotte is a "character" from POTO. Here's the piece from the Signet version of Leroux (yes I have multiple translations of the book, this is just the one I grabbed):
Little Lotte thought of everything and nothing. Her hair was golden as the sun's rays and her soul as clear and blue as her eyes. She wheedled her mother, was kind to her doll, took great care of her frock and her little red shoes and her fiddle, but most of all loved, when she went to sleep, to hear the Angel of Music...every great musician, every great artist received a visit from the Angel at least once in his life. Sometimes the Angel leans over their cradle, as happened to Lotte...No one ever sees the Angel; but he is heard by those who are meant to hear him. He often comes when they least expect him, when they are sad and disheartened. Then their ears suddenly perceive celestial harmonies, a divine voice, which they remember all their lives.

2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are?
I tend to be a lot sillier on my LJ than in real life. It shows one or two parts of myself pretty well, and hints at other parts occasionally. So around 8 in some aspects and 2 in others.

3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?
It really depends. Sometimes a lot, sometimes hardly anything.

4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?
Yes. In some respects I'm a very private person, though I don't entirely hide anything.

5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
Not very. I'd go with 4 at the most, and likely less.

6. From who/how did you find out about LJ?
Searching for an online journal. I started one here a very long time ago, but then found OpenDiary and liked it better. OD went to hell and I ended up back here under a new name and deleted the old one (it was under a nickname that I really don't care to remember much, and there was only one or two entries in it).

7. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?
Many people.

8. What proportion of your posts are friends only?
Not too many any more. My last journal was entirely friends only after my living situation fiasco my fourth year in college. I wanted to cut all the negative real-life influences out of my life as completely as possible.

9. What is your favorite interest on LJ?
Blowing on ice cream...from the AFoA days :-D

10. Has anything on LJ ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Nothing drastically.

11. How often do you respond/comment on other peoples journals?
I tend to check LJ in my spare time, so I don't often have too much time to respond. I always read the entries of those who really interest me (even the long ones and even if I don't often comment), and either respond or try to go back to respond later if something piques my interest.

12. Do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
Depends. I love reading my flist, though.

13. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on LJ (or did it to someone else)?
Not especially, though the [livejournal.com profile] kzoo_kids thing has been interesting.

14. Have you ever banned someone from your journal?
No.

15. Who are your favorite LJ friend(s) and why?
Those who remind me in certain ways of me, and those living their lives. Also, a few I know irl.

16. How many of your LJ friends have you actually met?
Around 30 or so, but there are a few people with multiple names, so add more onto that...so over half.

17. Of all of the people on LJ you know of, who is the most like you?
I see way too much of myself in a couple of people, but I see more of myself in [livejournal.com profile] a_treitell, probably, than anybody else. Also, [livejournal.com profile] ironflower.

18. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
I'm actually pretty careful about who I add now. Most people I added on old journals when I was less careful, and got to "know" them well enough to keep them on my moves. I'm more careful about my filters, though.

19. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
No.

20. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list (or drop them)?
There really isn't one "most likely" reason I wouldn't add them.

21. Is your "significant other" on LJ?
Yup, though he doesn't post much :-(

22. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ?
Chances are pretty good that if you're on my flist you're somebody I'd like to meet in person.
