I got a voicemail from Nick (the guy in charge of the restaurant) saying he had more info about server training. I called him back Saturday afternoon and he told me they're postponing the opening a week. Their licensing hasn't come through yet, and they don't want to risk opening and not having it--entirely understandable. This is both good and bad. On the plus side, this means I get to go up north with Dan's mom and sisters (both of them, or one or neither?--I didn't quite catch details of who is going) the weekend we were supposed to be training and doing all the opening publicity stuff. This also means we don't start training, and so I will definitely be training on my birthday. On the plus side, I should be out early enough to be able to make the midnight release of HP6 at Barnes & Noble (with two in tow--it sounds like both

madbillyblack and

paxtonblue are interested in going with me) that night. I'm not 100% positive, so I'm really debating on if I want to cancel my Amazon preorder and set one up through B&N instead or not. That way, even if I end up not being able to make the midnight release I could still pick it up early the next morning. Another big down side is that

clearmind will be in Michigan the week we open, and this means I won't know my schedule and sorting out when I'll be able to see him until right before he's in Michigan :-P

Not to mention I'll have been out of work for a month :-\

The fact that I'm starting to get really listless and lethargic is not a good one. I really do need to get the house picked up before I go home on Thursday, and clean Anna's old tank and pick up fresh substrate to clean out her new one for her once I get back. Mom has said I can come home earlier if I'm really getting that bad and just set up a new appointment to pick up my mouth guard from the dentist, but I'd rather just get it Thursday and be done with it all. She's using Rheanna as bait ;-) For the relative newcomers to my f'list, Rheanna is my absolutely darling, almost seven-year-old cousin. I haven't seen her in months. She adores me, and I adore her. The picture linked to "absolutely darling" is actually one that I first saw and thought a younger picture of me had gotten mixed in with Christmas photos.

Oh well. Soon enough I'll be working full-time and making money again, and soon enough HBP will be out and I'll be whining for Book 7 and the GoF movie ;-)

I'm giong to go now and attempt to not be so listless...but I don't really see that happening.
