How many of you remember that Rate my Kitten site (it still exists)? Dan and I once thought it would be funny to put a pic of me up there dressed up as a cat from one of my Opera Workshop performances, and it got some hysterical comments on it, but it was eventually removed.

Dan teases me because I like Garrison Keillor and the Prairie Home Companion. One of my high school teachers would play Lake Wobegon stories in our Short Stories class, and I was hooked. I was listening to it last week on my way to Jackson, and happened to catch the website for it. I just remembered it and decided to visit, and found that not only do they have scripts there, but I can listen to streaming broadcasts! I just had to share one of the pieces that happened to play that weekend.

I really recommend listening to April 30th's show if you're at all interested in him. He also had Elizabeth LaPrelle on that day, a 17 year old Appalachian singer that was just amazing.

Now I want to see if I can find "Emily Dickinson's Birthday Pizza" on LimeWire. I had it years ago from AudioGalaxy, and it was so silly.

I can give my baby crickets, I can give her mealworms. I can joyously watch her hunt and catch them. I could NEVER kill a gerbil for a pet, or put newly born gerbil/hamsters ("pinkies") into a snake's tank.
