Pretty day!

Apparently getting out of work early after having a nice little lunch rush puts me in a happy mood! I've gone and paid rent for June, and deposited today's tips, and now I get to sit back and relax! I think I'll read another month or so of archives, maybe go to Meijer and pick some things up that I need and do some cleaning. I still haven't mastered that whole "unpacking" part of things, but I hate trying to find places to put all my stuff :-P Some of it will probably end up re-packed and thrown into the closet once I do get around to doing that. Tonight feels like enchilada night, since I don't really have much else around.

Give Lindsay recipes!

Okay...I really kinda suck at cooking, but I'd love to learn how to cook some good things for myself. I'm looking for relatively cheap, not too time-consuming, vegetarian (or easy to just leave the meat out), HEALTHY recipes ideal for no more than four servings (I live alone right now, people, and I tend to forget about leftovers if they last more than a couple days).

I'm up for anything--except really spicy (I'm not a spicy food person).

hmm...I need to find some good non-meat tosh recipes, I think. That's one thing I loved about the Central Asian group...tosh at our gatherings. Maybe I should tell Mom I'd rather have a crockpot and food processor for my birthday instead of a new bike (tosh and hummus...mmmm)...I can always still use my old one--it's not in too bad of shape...it's just a little old.

Oh...and in case you didn't catch that--I love trying new things out...and I love Middle Eastern/Central Asian food.

They had fresh ears of corn on sale at Meijer--14 for $2. I love summer so much. I could completely make an entire meal out of fresh ears of corn only.

*runs off to make a veggie BLT and fresh corn on the cob*

Now I just need to figure out which CD to best compliment this wonderful mix of good weather, yummy food and happy Lindsay...I do believe Heather Nova...probably South :-D

Within the next week I will actually have a journal layout...as soon as I can decide what I want it to be themed.

I'm tired. I went back and started reading back through my first journal a bit.

*yawns* I'm going to clean up my dinner mess now and maybe play with Anna.
