littlelotteI finished about a third of my first BYTE book last night ("Better Yourself Through Education"--a series created for OSI management to familiarize themselves with various things...topics include running meetings, legal issues important to restaurants (which is the one I have now), financial management, and other various business related things), and according to one of the other managers it's the longest/hardest to get through. I got through that much in two hours sitting at the coffee shop, so I'm not terribly concerned about finishing it before I'm out of MIT--in fact, at this rate I'll finish before I even start my training.
Dan's still asleep (he worked the overnight last night), and I'm kinda hungry, but he'll probably be up within an hour or two, so maybe I should just get a shower. We got about four inches of snow between 1am and 7am last night, and it still hasn't stopped. I haven't seen outside since 7:30 this morning, but I can see the snow still coming down outside my blinds. I told Dan when I picked him up that we should go for a walk and take some pictures of it today after he gets up. I really need to empty my camera...I really need to get my laptop fixed so I can use my own computer again, actually.

I really don't know. I've always loved the 50s poodle skirts and sweaters and always thought they'd look exceptionally good on me given my figure. I also really enjoy the lovely simplicity of the 40s-era dresses.
2. Have You Ever {Or Would You Ever} Worn Fantasy Or Historical Garb As Casual *Every Day* Clothing? Why Or Why Not?
No, but I wouldn't necessarily not, so long as it was tasteful and wasn't overbearing and matched what I felt like wearing. I more like modern fusion of historical pieces. For example, I have a lovely white collared top that is vaguely a corset top.
3. How Would You Describe Your Personal Style?
Classic. I'm big on tailored looks. I love pretty, but I also love professional. I love my collared and fitted more professional shirts, but I also adore my princess sleeves and frills--I especially love when the two can be combined. When I was in high school I told my mom that I wished I had the money to dress like Stevie Nicks. I love trailing sleeves and sheer overshirts and long, flowing skirts. Oh this is tough. I do so love my dressy blue dress. I first bought it for the theatre gala my freshman year, but I've worn it once or twice since then. It's so lovely.

Classic, elegant and professional. I love to look feminine and pretty, but in-charge. All of the above together makes me feel especially well-rounded.

Umm...I really don't know. I really love Nola's wardrobe in Match Point.

I recently started wearing Vera Wang: The Fragrance. It's feminine and pretty, but also understated and very fresh. I used to wear Inner Realm, also very light and very fresh, and very nice on me--but they stopped carrying it everywhere they used to, and a friend gave me a sample of the Vera Wang and I fell in love. *laughs* Dan once made the comment that "A real lady only wears one fragrance"--while there are a few that I do enjoy and will pick up in a pinch, I've always been a girl on a search for my signature scent. I'm still terribly torn between this one and Inner Realm, and I think I prefer Inner Realm (I wore it for about five years), but it becomes increasingly harder and harder to find so I think I just need to give it up :-( Nobody had ever heard of it, but I received so many compliments when I wore it.

It used to be not unless I was going to work, but now I pay more attention to it. I like darker beige-pinks for my cheeks and various shades of purples for my eyes. I wear brown-black mascara and a thin line of black eye-liner. I like deeper purpley-reds for my lips. I usually have to mix two or three lipsticks to get just the color I want, though.
18. What About Shoes? What Is Your Shoe Size And Favourite Style?
I wear 8.5s. I really love heels, though I am terrible at walking in them unless they're just the right height. My favorite styles are probably like the heels I own that really show off my legs when they're bare and knee-high black boots with a thick heel on them. I'm far more "girly" now than I ever was, and tend to be more "girly" (I like to think "feminine") than I ever tend to let on.

Choker necklaces, bracelets, and appropriate-to-what-I'm-wearing earrings with a touch of dangle.

I kind of just answered this above, but I love various stones. Pearls are my zodiac stone (though I don't actually own a set), rubies (though I don't really wear rubies) are my birthstone, but I really love onyx and anything hanging on something that matches what I'm wearing--such as that necklace I'm wearing in the picture on my profile. I also prefer silver jewelry. Silver looks best with every stone and color I prefer to wear, plus it looks best against my complexion.
