Amusing aside

From last week in K'zoo...
Dan and I were sitting on our front porch on the fourth. He was drinking some microbrew or other, and I had a can of Sofia, sipping it through a straw (seriously...sipping sparkling wine out of a can through a straw...and it's GOOD wine! All the Coppola wines I've tried so far are really nice). The can is small and bright pink and has various words all over it (the wine is named after his daughter, director Sofia Coppola, obviously) like "effervescent" and "reactionary" and "revolutionary" and "poetic" and "petulant" and...you get the idea. Dan was teasing me and said, "It's so kitschy." I replied with, "Kind of like her and her movies...cute and kitschy and silly, but pretty good," (we both tend to enjoy her movies--me more than him, though--and we both love Lost in Translation). He replied with, "Now all it needs is to come with a shoegaze CD and a joint."
Silly boyfriend ;-)
