Lazy

I looked at dresses for the first time today. I'm being lazy, so all you get is a link to the folder with the resized photos rather than a picture post ;-)

I like two and four, but I think the veil on one is very becoming.

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
I like two, too, but it's $950. I don't think it will happen...lol Plus, I think the designs on the skirt are too much. I'm all for the corset top, though. It's like, "Hey...I'll take the top...I can find a skirt later." lol I hardly ever wear them, so I forget how amazing they feel while on. I love that something else can hold my boobs up for once instead of my back...lol They're so relaxing. If it were feasible in my line of work I would absolutely wear them under my clothes on a regular basis, but restaurants are just too hectic :-(

[identity profile] dramaturgca.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
I'm all about corsets, and they're so flattering on bustier women. I kind of liked the design on the skirt, I find the vast expanse of white train a little blinding.

My name is [livejournal.com profile] clearmind and I approve of this message.

[identity profile] clearmind.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
1 and 2 in that order. Absolutely not 3 or 4 IMHO.

[identity profile] wheezinggirl.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
funny - 3 and 4 are my favorites.

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
*giggles* And I would put money on everyone who approves of 4 picking it because it looks so Grecian ;-) It's exactly the reason I tried it on. If I could get a corset/more fitting top half (one or two) with four's lower half I would be a very happy camper indeed.

[identity profile] clearmind.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
For the record, either 1 or 2 as a top and 4 as the lower half is approved by me.

[identity profile] velvatier.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
what's your price range? i bet i can find like, fifty dresses like this. i have a lot of free time. a LOT.

[identity profile] leandra-nyx.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 09:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think 1 and 2 both look the best. I remember trying on wedding dresses... one of my criteria was that it not be so complicated that I couldn't use the bathroom by myself, lol.

[identity profile] chasmine17.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
The ones that make you look like a Greek goddess seem very appropriate :).

Very pretty!! I really like the 1st one.

[identity profile] cyouintea.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
#2... but seeing it in person probably makes me a little biased. :) and i have to tell you - i'm incredibly jealous that you wear #1 so well - i tried it on and it made me look absolutely pregnant. :)

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
*laughs* One is my favorite, right along with the top of two. I probably won't end up with any of these, though. You hear people wedding dress shopping say "You'll know it when you try it on," but those who haven't ever shopped for any type of event dress don't really understand that sentiment. I've gone serious dress shopping for other things twice before, and there are dresses that you say "Well, mayyybeee..." and then you try on that one perfect dress that's exactly the right type of flattering and glamorous, and you say "OMG this is it."

I don't really want to go looking by myself again, though...with dresses that elaborate it's just not the same as other dress shopping. I'm still sad that my one attendant ([livejournal.com profile] amneria...she moved merely months after we became friends :-P) lives in Minnesota, and most of my girly-girl friends who I know would love to do this live too far away to do anything like this.

[identity profile] cyouintea.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, i got really lucky having my mom about 40 minutes away, my cousin in holland, and my sister is still in high school, so my mom came when i looked at david's, and they were all able to be there when i actually found my dress (at bridal creations in paw paw... oops!!!) :) who, by the way, i highly (but very discreetly) recommend if you don't find the right dress at david's.

Ooh...thank you! My parents live up near Flint, and I was looking through a bridal magazine that featured gowns by Demetrios. There is a "Brides by Demetrios" in Troy, so (even though I imagine they are out of my price range), I thought it might be worth a try to get an appointment sometime when I'm up visiting.

So. in. love.

Also, I'll be sure to look up that Paw Paw one. Thank you for the rec :-)

anytime!

[identity profile] chasmine17.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, my dress was a Demetrios! I love them. Took them forever to ship my dress to the store, though (like 7 months???).

Wolfy!!!

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, speaking of seeing them in person, and building off of your other comment earlier, it was very cool running into you. Usually the only way I've met people from LJ before was intentionally planning a meetup...lol

[identity profile] cyouintea.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
it was cool running into you too... and same here - i've never (knowingly) run into an LJ person anywhere. in fact, i think i've only ever actually met one LJer in person that i didn't already know personally.

if you've ever got the free time and want to grab a drink or something, let me know.

[identity profile] andrewsarcasm.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
1 and 2 in that order.

But like [livejournal.com profile] clearmind, I approve of this post.

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
*laughs* More specifically, [livejournal.com profile] clearmind approves of nearly anything involving corsets ;-)

[identity profile] peazgrl1545.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Love 2 and 4-- very OR-ish.

[identity profile] samuraibutterfl.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I really liked the cut of #2. #1 made you look really top heavy. But #1 also had the best embroidery. I'd like #3 if it had more detail.

Because someone has to be different.

[identity profile] amneria.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god, I choose 2 and 3. Though your breasts look lovely in all of them :)

The straps on 5 are WAY too thin. Forgive me for being blunt, but I don't think the girls will stay up on their own.

PS. Call me, I miss you. I work till 6 tomorrow.

Re: Because someone has to be different.

[identity profile] littlelotte.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
My phone is MIA :-( I lost it at Meijer the other night, and they haven't had it turned in to them, so I probably have to get a new one tomorrow. I close tonight and tomorrow night, and then I'm not sure what I work Sat/Sun, but I have Mon/Tues off.

Oh bah--you know I love you especially when you're blunt! lol

Remember the Chapel of Love has dresses too.

MALL DISCOUNT. ;)

ROFL!

i think #5 is the most flattering on you, but i like #4 the best on it's own merit. i'm a big fan of the ultra-cleavage look, though. mostly out of envy.
