Very random update.

--I didn't get home until about 2am. We closed at 11. Yeah. Fundraiser for Kalamazoo Central baseball boosters (200+ people between 5pm and 8pm), party of 30 at 9pm, parties of 12 and 15 at around 8:30pm, party of 8 at ten minutes to close who didn't leave until 11:40. DIENOW, KTHXBYE! Oh!...after working a 13-hour day yesterday because...nevermind. I'll be nice.
--I blame
penmage entirely for the fact that Dan and I are now extremely into Big Love. Cute cute HBO show. I love the completely adorable Marge, and Dan likes Nicki because of her complete bitchiness. I really do understand reasonings behind why polygamy is illegal in the US, but the anthropologist in me just can't agree that it should be. Two more episodes for the first season, and then we get to start the second season. I'll be picking up a couple of discs tomorrow when I drop this last set off.
--Finally saw Inland Empire a week or two ago. We both ended it with "W. T. F." I told Dan somewhere near the end, "You do realize that we're going to have to watch this AT LEAST two or three more times to even begin to get it, right?" Damn! I need to find the song they use in it. I must own the movie sheerly because of that song. It's as similarly affecting as Llorando (in Mulholland Drive).
--I have a lot more I wanted to say, but I'm exhausted and need to go to bed now.

Date: 2008-04-04 02:38 pm (UTC)I found you in either
Anyway. I think this will be the year I HUG A LINDS. With both of us being fairly transient, I feel like we're bound to end up in the same zipcode sometime soon. And I look forward to that.

Funny story that I'm finally getting around to telling you...I was listening to a CD in the car a week or two ago and had the sudden urge to text you saying, "You have to hear this song if you don't already know it!" before I realized I don't have your number to text you. It was Dar Williams's "Playing to the Firmament," by the bye.
