From [livejournal.com profile] shadow_dream:
The Top Ten Fictional Characters I Would "Throw Down" With
(and, apparently this means something more along the lines of "Throw down on the bed and have wild crazy sex with" rather than the fight "throw down")...so...

1. Susan Kay's Erik (duh--though I would any of them, but he's my favorite simply because he has the most backstory)
2. Howard Roark (The Fountainhead)
3. Kyrie (House of Leaves)
4. Westley (Princess Bride)
5. Humbert Humbert (Lolita--the Jeremy Irons Humbert, particularly)
6. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)
7. Wolf (Tenth Kingdom)
8. E. Edward Gray (secretary)
9. Jareth (Labyrinth)
10. Randolph Henry Ash (Possession)

I just realized that Amber has my Possession novel, and I haven't spoken to her since January. *whines and throws things*

From [livejournal.com profile] samuraibutterfl:
List 5 reasons you are a dork. And make them good reasons. Justify them. Explain them. Be loud and proud of how big a dork you are! Then pick the 5 biggest dorks you know and have them do the same.

1. My Phantom obssession. 'nough said. I'll babble for hours about it if people let me.

2. My Harry Potter obssession. Again--'nough said, given most of you have seen my journal for the past monthish ;-) Also, again, I'll babble on forever about it if people will let me.

3. I read Jane Austen in middle school. I was an absolute and total bookworm growing up. I could read a stack of books in a week. I was very much Hermione when it came to projects for school, too. I'd be the one who would go and research some completely random little thing and everybody would freak out. When I get into something I go all the way with it.

4. I can't watch Princess Bride without getting all googly-eyed and quoting it along with the movie. Same goes for Labyrinth and Lost in Translation. And Tenth Kingdom. "This meat is dangerously overcooked. When I say rare, I mean 'Let it look at the oven in terror and then bring it out to me!'" "Love of my life, let down your lustrious locks!" I love Wolf. I love Wolf so very very VERY much. Well...any guy that can growl right has me in the palm of his hand, really. This is why I had to read House of Leaves--MZD's growl. I kid you not. Plus, Kyrie is so damn sexy. I'm torn between wanting her and just wanting to be more like her.

5. I'm almost obssessive about making sure I've read a novel before I've seen the movie. I can't stand missing any of the little details that make all the difference to the story. Also, I wanted to see Mulholland Dr. simply because it's mentioned in House of Leaves.

I already have five, but I also used to be ridiculously addicted to Scrabble. My ex and I would stay up until four in the morning playing tournaments against each other. We were vicious. If I had somebody around who loved to play so much I probably still would be.

I'm not going to tag anybody, so have a go at either or both of them if you want!

It's a good thing I just read the parentheses on the Throw down thing. It coulda gotten really nasty if I hadn't. *shudders*
